Curriculum

Kundan International School stands committed to create not just learners but good human beings. Launched in the year 2007, it has strongly made its presence felt in and around the area through its holistic approach towards education and life as a whole. The school aims at not only imparting education but also nurturing students to be imbibed with a deep sense of noble virtues. Our school provides a perfect blend of traditional and modern values through holistic integration of activities   that lead to development of the personality.

Kundan International School   firmly believes that “Foundation” is the most important stage to mould the children to face the changing competitive scenario across the globe with confidence. In Kindergarten section, careful planning ensures that students become lifelong learners .  Boys & Girls are admitted   in the Pre- Nursery. No formal instruction is given in the first year. However, we have a carefully planned multi-sensory approach that combines games, stories, multimedia, music, phonetics etc. to enable  physical, motor and cognitive development  .

Special care is taken to inculcate discipline and good study habits. Through the recognition of multiple intelligence and using a layered curriculum, the Kundan staff provides the opportunity for students to carve their own path of   learning within the school framework. The Kindergarten curriculum is specially designed to lead impeccably to the senior school programme. Senior school programme  is planned and guided by the school which outlines the skills, performances, attitudes, and values pupils are expected to learn from schooling.  At senior school, students are imparted a formal syllabus. Classroom teaching is complemented and supplemented with experiments, creativity, handwork, models and audio visual presentations, excursions group activity, project based learning and Internet researches .

Evaluation system

The evaluation of the students is   based on continuous and comprehensive evaluation. The objective of the evaluation is   diagnostic, remedial, reinforcing and developmental .

Classes   Pre- Nursery to  KG

There is no formal assessment . However, the teacher closely monitors and observes the development and growth of the child during the course of the academic session and the performance report of each student is based on these observations.

The academic year is divided into two terms. The first term is from April to September and the second term is from October to March. Each term will have two Formative Assessments and one Summative Assessment for the evaluation of scholastic areas as per the guidelines issued by the CBSE during the course of the academic year.

In addition to the scholastic areas, co-scholastic areas like life skills, attitudes and values, participation and achievement in activities involving literacy and creative skills, scientific skills, aesthetic skills and performing arts and clubs, and health and physical education will also be evaluated.
